Holy gauca-procrastination-moly!
Easter was wonderful
Hmmm... Charlee turned 7 months but I'll just skip to the 8 month check-ins in a different post.
Nothing changed really, she just got cuter.
Eric and I also had the chance to do something very sacred in our religion.
We entered one of our many gorgeous Temples and participated in a ceremony called "Endowments". I can't go into detail, but I would like to remember and share just how special the experience leading up to that day was.
It didn't look good at first. We found out, through no ones fault, that we had only 8 days to prepare for the Temple. (EXTREMELY long story short- In order to see my Sister married in the Temple in Utah, I needed to go through myself beforehand...and we found that out kinda late.)
SO
The list looked something like this.
*Find sitters for the girls that would be located in Baton Rouge so I could easily nurse Charlee before and after the session.
*Take the car in the shop because the battery was acting odd
*Order special Temple clothing online (only to find out they couldn't do rush delivery online so I had my sister buy them from a store in Utah then overnight them).
*Find both Eric and myself a Temple Escort
*Find Temple clothing for both of us (we borrowed from my VERY helpful wonderful Relief Society President)
*Call the Baton Rouge Temple to make an appointment
and, really,
much
much
more.
Another LONG story short, (something I know I will never forget).
the day is here.
We made it.
After our car decided to turn on 3 notification lights and act funny on the freeway.
After a pleaded prayer I could barely muster out.
After someone on their day off came to open the church building just to watch the girls for us for 4 hours. A church worker. A stranger did this for our family. She was our Angel.
And most importantly,
After 1 full year of repentance, searching, scripture study, and prayer, we were prepared to enter the most Holy place on this Earth.
We made it.
& I know with all my heart we were blessed for doing so.
Everyone who helped us get to the Temple were blessed.
& I couldn't be more grateful for all of it.
And guess what? It's now time for that wedding!!
