Couldn't agree more

A happy family is but an earlier heaven
-John Bowring

Papa

Papa Jaeger is in town for a full week!
E was so excited waking up to find him downstairs.
So far, she has not let him out of her sight.
We love our special visitors.

Promotion

Can you believe it's been a year since we found out Eric made Tech??
I can't.
And here we are sewing it on.
Crazy I tell ya. This place makes time super sonic speed!

Hi Eric peaking from his seat

Eric's Father and Emme had the privilege of "tacking" on his new stripes. What a fun tradition!

So proud of you, my love!

Crawfish Festival

Yes! The chintzy, wonderfully fun rides were back!
& our little one was in Heaven!

8 Months

What can I say about this little one??
Without sounding biased, I might add.

She is a dream baby.
Okay, I started off strong.
I can't help the way I feel though! :)

She loves to make Mama happy with her much needed "Go with the flow" demeanor.

She still LOVES to nurse and wants no other liquids at the moment. Not even juice.

Her Sister will bring out her belly laugh like no one else can.

Is finally getting the hang of food.
She will willingly take the following:
Applesauce
Bananas
Pears
Sweet Potatoes
Peaches
Watermelon
Crackers
Yogurt Melts
&
Puff..thingies..

Wearing size 4 diaper and 12-18 month clothes

Her and her sister are on the same sleeping schedule (can I get a Hallelujah?)
With NO MORE midnight feedings.
no.more.

3 teeth on the bottom. Working on the top 2 coming in any day now.

Sits and plays with toys, or whatever Emme has in her hand at the time.

Jumperoo gets a workout.

Is so content with just sitting, she has had no desire to reach for toys that have made it just arms length away from her. Her cute tushie is fine just where it is, so no crawling or scooting just yet. She does a cute little roll to get from one spot of the floor to the other.
We've survived another month avoiding the baby gates! Hooray!

Best yet,
She is 8 months old and still goes into a milk coma.
Bless it!

I adore that babe

My best friend's wedding

Speaking of which,
I wish I looked like Julia Roberts with her crazy cute huge curly hair and perfect smile.

We did look pretty though, I must say. Except the Bride of course. She was exquisite.
I couldn't take my eyes off of her. And I wasn't even the Bridegroom. What a privilege to be her Matron of Honor.

Beautiful, bestest all of teenage years friend, Katie
Cousins dancing to celebrate a special day

Always looking for an occasion to dress this dolly up

Beautiful, WONDERFUL, Shar with her cutie Emily.
I love that woman!

The gorgeous Bride with her Babes.

My heart swelled for her that day.
I know they will have a great life together.
They are wild for each other.
What a blessing that is.

What happened to April??

Holy gauca-procrastination-moly!

Easter was wonderful

Hmmm... Charlee turned 7 months but I'll just skip to the 8 month check-ins in a different post.
Nothing changed really, she just got cuter.

Eric and I also had the chance to do something very sacred in our religion.
We entered one of our many gorgeous Temples and participated in a ceremony called "Endowments". I can't go into detail, but I would like to remember and share just how special the experience leading up to that day was.

It didn't look good at first. We found out, through no ones fault, that we had only 8 days to prepare for the Temple. (EXTREMELY long story short- In order to see my Sister married in the Temple in Utah, I needed to go through myself beforehand...and we found that out kinda late.)

SO

The list looked something like this.
*Find sitters for the girls that would be located in Baton Rouge so I could easily nurse Charlee before and after the session.
*Take the car in the shop because the battery was acting odd
*Order special Temple clothing online (only to find out they couldn't do rush delivery online so I had my sister buy them from a store in Utah then overnight them).
*Find both Eric and myself a Temple Escort
*Find Temple clothing for both of us (we borrowed from my VERY helpful wonderful Relief Society President)
*Call the Baton Rouge Temple to make an appointment
and, really,
much
much
 more.

Another LONG story short, (something I know I will never forget).
the day is here.
We made it.
After our car decided to turn on 3 notification lights and act funny on the freeway.
After a pleaded prayer I could barely muster out.
After someone on their day off came to open the church building just to watch the girls for us for 4 hours. A church worker. A stranger did this for our family. She was our Angel.
And most importantly,
After 1 full year of repentance, searching, scripture study, and prayer, we were prepared to enter the most Holy place on this Earth.

We made it.
& I know with all my heart we were blessed for doing so.
Everyone who helped us get to the Temple were blessed.

& I couldn't be more grateful for all of it.

And guess what? It's now time for that wedding!!
