Easter 2010

Hope everyone had a fantastic Easter this year! Our family kept it nice and easy this year and just did stuff around the house. Emmers woke up to a nice Basket full of goodies put together by and eager Mom. It was something I have been looking forward to and was very excited to be able to do. Last year, Emme was about 4 months old so I thought I would wait to do her first basket for this year when she would appreciate it. Her face when she saw it was all I imagined and more. These are the times I thank the Lord for the blessing of being a Mommy. He gives me enough patience to get through the tough days to be able to see days like today! =). Right after the basket opening I read her the story of the resurrection from her Children's Bible. It explains with pictures and is easy for children to understand. I love it! Later in the day when it was pretty warm, we did an egg hunt. She went crazy! And loved all the treats I put inside ( Binkis, Peeps, Plastic bunny that jumps, more binkis...). Right after the hunt, Daddy fired up the grill and we had Steak and Chicken with veggie ka-bobs. Yummmmm. It was another wonderful holiday spent with my beautiful family. Please enjoy the following pictures of the day!

To laugh often and much...

To laugh often and much
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived
This is to have succeeded.

~Ralph Waldo Emerson
