Emmelyn is 5 mo!

AHH! Another month has come and gone! I def can't believe I can say that I have a 5 month old! She is for sure a handful and is keeping Mommy plenty busy while Dad's away. We miss him so much but are grateful that we get to talk or email most days. Today marks 3 weeks since he has left 23 to go! Enough about that though, this is about boogie!

She has wowed me in the following ways:
* She can sit unsupported (but tilts forward until her nose hits the floor)...
* She swam for the first time on Memorial Day with a floaty that held her well. It was too cold for her taste, even though it was HOT out.
* She is now eating cereal with veggies 2x's a day but still doesn't seem to care about it so much so we skip days sometimes.
* Her new favorite game is pulling Mommy's hair and not letting go and when Mommy shrieks she thinks it's hilarious! So I just let it happen...
* Her toes are now the favorite chew toy- since she discovered them they are always in her mouth!
* Still isn't too fond with sleeping "through the night" and wakes up every 3 hours to feed at night. Mom's def tired but I do what I do for meh babes.
* No weigh in this month but Mom is excited that she is still in 3 month clothes! For now at least.

I know there is much more, but that's all that comes to my frazzled mind! Again, baby book gets all the clear thoughts and memories for now!

Happy 5 months sweet pea!

My Motivation

They say if you want to loose weight you have to do a couple things first. First decide on a realistic goal and second find motivation. What/Who do you want to do this for. Well i didn't really take that too seriously and just thought to myself "G, all of the above... i want to lose weight for my health, family, fit in clothes, etc..." Just recently i decided to narrow it down to two things so its more personal and specific.
I want to fit back in my wedding ring. Since being pregnant after the 7 month my hands became swollen and they have stayed that way!

And my little baby who i know wont stay little for long and i would love to be able to keep up with her and not miss out on anything!

Were jogging machines!

Since Eric left i have gotten this overwhelming urge to get ride of this baby weight once and for all! I have a good diet plan working that accommodates breastfeeding and a good exercise plan. Part of which include an hour walk with Emmers in the evening (have to wait till then cuz wheeew, its hot out here!). Well today to make it easier i got a jogging stroller! YAY! I took that baby for a test run today and it went so smoooooth. Very exciting. By the end of it, Emme of course was her usual passed-out-self.
She also tried a Nanner for the first time today! Her first human nibbles! I was just sitting on the couch eating a nanner and she was grabbing for it so i thought, heck, why not? She was so ravenous with it, so cute!!

Goodbye my looooooove!

Okay but on a serious note, Eric left Tuesday morning to report for a second deployment. It's of course different this time around. Due to these facts... Last time i was working and pulled doubles at work almost every day, now my baby is my only job. Second, the first deployment was served 7 months in Iraq- Almost exactly two years ago. This tour will be in Afghanistan for 6 months. I, of course, wasn't thrilled to have learned that that is where he will be. Anyone who is caught up with the news knows Obama has relieved a lot of military from Iraq and sending more to Afghan. We dodged a bullet last November when Chad Nabinger, a fellow Airman in Erics squadron, volunteered to take his deployment spot so he could be present for the birth of his first baby, Emmelyn. So when we found out he would be deploying a few months ago, we still felt blessed and grateful for the opportunity to be here during a very important time. There was no complaining when we found out. It still didn't change the fact that my heart broke at that point. There is nothing in life i want more then to be with my family and watch my babies grow with both parents present. Unfortunately, we have chosen a career where that just isn't possible. So Lord give me strength to go through this tour with my head held high and the will to be happy for my little girls sake. Please be with Eric and keep him safe. I love and miss you my sweet Husband and Emme will miss you too, Daddy.

Please keep the Jaeger Family in your prayers.

Helping Daddy pack!

How'd she get in there???

6 down 5 to go

Big day today! err... more like on Friday. It was Eric's re-enlistment ceremony. So far he has been in 6 years (geesh, can't believe it's already over). We decided that he is going to be a lifer in the Air Force, he knows he wants to go far in his career- so we're both very excited. So here's to another 5 years!

Getting ready to be sworn in againOh boy, here we go. SPEEEECH!
Notes to my Husband:
I am so proud of the way you take care of your family and you are an amazing provider. I can't wait to continue this life with you and our little girl. Keep making us and your country proud, baby! I love you sweetie!
