I truly love Biloxi

*iPhone (Instagram) captured these beauts

How cute is Charlee's little toosh on Mama's shoulders?
Emme is such a big girl in this photo, too :)

I will cry when we leave this place.

A couple of baby firsts

It only took 3 years...
But it happened.

About 1/2 and inch was taken off. No biggie.

Her little sister was not forgotten, she got her ears pierced right after.

Her reward for holding so still for her haircut. She also got another book called "I love my hair", which is very fitting, I think.

6 months old

Seriously, how cute is that baby??

V

This little chubber is in 9-12 month clothes and size 2/3 shoe
She barley is squeezing into her size 3 pampers
Her well baby appointment went great.
She is right on track weighing
16 lbs 5 oz (85th %)
26 in long (80th %)
with a 43cm head (not sure, but it was up there)

She sits up unsupported (just recently mastered)

Tried her first taste of rice cereal with sweet potatoes the day she turned 6 months but it was short lived.
She hasn't tried it again since.
She likes milk and that's that.

Doesn't coo much. Just chills and loves to be held or played with.
She has a constant smile on her face and will flirt with whoever looks at her.
Jumperoo is her favorite pass time.
Tummy time with toys is fun.

Is NOT much of a sleeper (I promise)
Emme sleeps a good 2+ hours MORE than she does
She is on a schedule that works for us though.
Bed time at 9pmish with a nursing session at around 2 am then back to sleep until 7am
She takes one nap during the afternoon for about 2-3 hours and that's it!
I am VERY spoiled to my 3 year old who LOVES her sleep AND her naps :)

Charlee is now sleeping in her crib as of 3 nights ago as she literally outgrew the bassinet in our room. Her knees started to bend so she would fit. Yeah, it was time.
She, on the other hand, is VERY upset by this new change and lets Mama know. For about 2 hours last night, she let me know.

We also took on the challenge of trying to feed her formula for the first time.

HA!
That worked. Not.
I reached out to my Facebook friends and got some AMAZING tips on how to transition her to take a bottle. It's tough bc I only want to replace 1 or 2 (tops) nursing's with formula so she will be one confused little baby for the next few weeks.
It's been about 5 days and she takes one pumped bottle of breast milk so she will get used to the bottle then slowly we will add formula to the mixture then up the dose gradually.
Wish me luck!

She is a very loved little sister. I honestly think there is not a better big sister out there than Emme. She loves her to the moon and back.

She also got her.........

Ears pierced!!
They are cute little flower earrings and she as a champ!
Daddy was on duty this time around and held her head still.
It was over in no time and she looks cute as a button!

Shape Up the Coast 2012

Remember that competition I mentioned briefly in an earlier post? The post about how crazy our schedule was mostly due to Emme's and myself extra curricular activities??

Well, looks like it literally paid off.

Yep. That just happened, baby!

I posted this picture on my Facebook and received amazing feedback and encouragement from my dear friends and family and it was very humbling.

The competition started out with 98 participants. The final weigh in was this past Monday night and to my surprise maybe 60 people showed up for the final weigh in. I was in no way thinking I would be the winner. Maybe 3rd or 4th but I basically had written off any chances of winning. Especially because the last week leading up the final weigh in, Charlee, Emme, and myself were sicker than dogs and couldn't move out of bed let alone go to the gym.
So ya, this actually was a big surprise.
AND my good friend at the gym placed second! She won a makeover :)

I did, however work my tooshie off the other 5 weeks since it started.

With that said, I owe the motivation to a few people.

Pandora Radio- Black Eye Peas to be exact.
My girls- I want to chase them around until THEY are out of breath.
Eric- for telling me daily how proud of me he was.
Holly- for being my 2000 mile away workout buddy.
A few close friends who told me how great I was looking.

And lastly, myself, dang it!
I love the way skinny, healthy me feels. Simple as that.

What am I going to spend that money on you ask?
A new wardrobe when I reach my final goal.
(hopefully by mid-April)
Plane ticket to Holly's wedding
and a gorgeous Matron of Honor dress.
Oh, and some new socks. Mine are getting gross.
